Dr. Medwick is experienced with all aspects of the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP). He served as the lead technical consultant on all aspects of the development of CIP 2020, including performing the catalog scan and other background research, surveying Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) keyholders, staffing the technical review panel, preparing the Federal Register Notice, and updating the 2020 CIP-Standard Occupational Code (SOC) Crosswalk. He is currently working on the development of CIP 2025/CIP 2030.

Dr. Medwick received his doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD). He also holds a Master of Government Administration from the Fels Institute of Government, an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University.
